squaring (sauna) squaring (sauna) consists of a space made of wood. four round cans are placed in each of the four corners of this space. each can is radiated by an infrared lamp. within a cycle of twenty minutes the air inside the can is heated up and cooled down (red and blue phase). through the difference in temperature (inside and outside of the can) the brass of the can gets deformed and produces percussive sounds. these sounds occur at unpredictable points in time.
