a 38 meter long tunnel is divided into 25 equal sections of 1.5 meters. each section is equipped with a tuner which plays back a reference tone. depending on the walking direction of the passerby this tone descends or ascends at 1 hertz per tuner/section. the resulting difference of 25 hertz is equivalent to the halftone step A'(440hz) - A'flat(415hz).
