cords are fastened in the soil of tin cans and strained -both horizontal and vertically- through two or more rooms. similar to a three-way fullrange loudspeaker system three different sizes of tin cans are used - low, mid and high range speakers. a three volt engine shifts the vertical cord in a very fast oscillation. each vertical cord touches a horizontal one at a node to transfer the oscillation. the tin cans transform these oscillations into sound and act as resonators.
