an in-line fan blows into a film reel box. two styrofoam cups are placed upside down in the bottom of this box. the continuous air stream animates the cups to move - the range is from slow and delicate to abrupt and impulsive. these movements get inter-rupted by varying durations of still standing. the fixed distance between inline fan and the bottom of the film reel box prevents the cups from turning over.
